Research Vision

I believe quantitative ultrasound tomography (qUST) can evolve beyond diagnostic imaging into a versatile platform for image-guided theranostics. By integrating quantitative tissue characterization, treatment planning, therapeutic ultrasound, and real-time monitoring within a unified framework, qUST has the potential to enable precise and personalized interventions across a broad range of biomedical applications. Our research explores this concept in areas including rapid in vivo drug testing, ultrasound-mediated hemorrhage treatment, nanodroplet-assisted histotripsy, targeted hyperthermia, and other emerging image-guided therapies.
